We apply this preparation with a brush after the whitening process, thus reducing hypersensitivity.

Stages of teeth whitening

1. The first visit is a consultation - we conduct an interview with the patient and assess the condition of their teeth.
2. If it is necessary to remove tartar/plaque, we perform such a procedure 2 weeks before whitening.
3. The patient should reserve 1.5 hours for the whitening procedure.
4. At the visit before whitening, we consult the color of the teeth and take a photo.
5. We place the patient in a semi-recumbent position and protect them with protective equipment. We protect the gums with a liquid rubber dam, and the lips with an optragate. We put protective glasses on the eyes.
6. We apply a specialized whitening gel, which is activated by a lamp. The exposure time is 15 minutes.
7. After this time, the gel is removed and a new layer is applied. The whitening process has three stages - each consists of applying the gel, irradiating for 15 minutes and removing the material.
8. After the cycles are completed, we remove the protections.
9. Then the whitening effect is determined with a color guide and a previously taken photo.
10. The patient receives instructions on how to proceed after the whitening procedure.

Operation of the ICON system

The ICON system from DMG is a minimally invasive treatment method that eliminates white spots from the smooth surfaces of the tooth – labial and proximal. It allows you to stop the progression of caries and provides an excellent aesthetic effect.

The ICON system resin is great for treating enamel demineralization. It penetrates into the places covered with white spots. Thanks to a refractive index similar to enamel, it makes unaesthetic discolorations disappear, while protecting the teeth against further demineralization.

Course of treatment with the ICON system

1. Thorough cleaning of the tooth surface
2. Application of ICON Etch for 2 minutes, which contains 15% hydrochloric acid
3. Rinsing and drying the enamel
4. Repeating the cycle with ICON Dry until the white spots are removed
5. Application and light-curing of the resin, which fills the micropores and reduces white spots
