Dental treatment
under anesthesia

Full comfort, zero stress.

Dental treatment under anesthesia
regain a healthy and beautiful smile without pain.

Does the fear of the dentist paralyze you at the thought of treatment?

Do the extensive needs of your oral cavity make you postpone your visit indefinitely?

At our clinic, we understand these concerns.

That is why we offer dental treatment under anesthesia, i.e. under full general anesthesia. This is the gold standard for patients who want absolute comfort and a solution to all dental problems during one, stress-free visit.

Regardless of whether you are searching Google for "dentist under anesthesia Opole", "anesthesia at the dentist" or "dental clinic anesthesia", you have come to a place where the safety and peace of mind of the patient are paramount.

Who is treatment under general anesthesia for?

We particularly recommend general anesthesia to people who:

  • Suffer from dentophobia – if panic fear prevents you from undergoing treatment, anesthesia will allow you to sleep through the procedure and wake up with a healthy smile.
  • Require comprehensive and time-consuming treatment – complicated dental surgery, implant placement, multiple root canal treatments and treatment of all cavities can take place during one session.
  • Are planning complex procedures – removal of teeth under anesthesia (especially impacted wisdom teeth) or advanced periodontal treatment become fully comfortable.
  • Have a strong gag reflex – anesthesia completely eliminates this problem, allowing the dentist to work precisely.
  • Are patients with special needs – we offer dental treatment under anesthesia for people with disabilities who have difficulty cooperating with the dentist.
  • Are looking for an option for the youngest – we perform safe dental treatment for children under anesthesia, minimizing trauma and negative associations with the dentist in the future.

What to do before treatment under anesthesia?

What should be done before the procedure under anesthesia?

  1. Detailed consultation – the first step is a consultation visit. The dentist will assess the state of oral health and present a comprehensive treatment plan. You will then also learn the approximate cost of general anesthesia and the entire procedure.
  2. Anesthesiological interview – you will have a conversation with an anesthesiologist who will assess your general health and answer all your questions, including "is anesthesia at the dentist safe?".
  3. Abstaining from food and drink :
    • 6 hours before the procedure DO NOT EAT any solid meals,
    • 4 hours before the procedure DO NOT DRINK any liquids (not even water).
  4. Pharmacological preparation – inform the anesthesiologist about all medications you take on a regular basis. The doctor will decide which of them should be taken on the day of the procedure and which should be skipped.
  5. Organizing transport – after the procedure under anesthesia, you will not be able to drive a car. Be sure to arrange transport home with a companion.
  6. Comfortable clothing – on the day of the procedure, wear loose, non-restrictive clothing.

Safety and standards of treatment under anesthesia

During the entire procedure, your health is constantly monitored - including breathing, heart rate, blood pressure and blood oxygen level (saturation). Thanks to this, the anesthesiologist has full control over the course of anesthesia and can react immediately to any situation.

During the treatment, a qualified anesthesiologist and a medical team are always present, who watch over your safety from the moment of induction into anesthesia until full awakening.

Waking up and convalescence

Return to full consciousness after the procedure usually takes several to several dozen minutes , depending on the individual reaction of the body and the duration of anesthesia.

After waking up, the patient remains for about 1–2 hours in the office under the care of medical personnel to make sure that all vital signs are stable and there are no undesirable symptoms. Only after such observation can you safely go home accompanied by a loved one.

What not to do after a procedure under anesthesia?

Immediately after waking up and for the next 24 hours, your coordination and ability to assess the situation may be impaired. During this time, you absolutely must:

  • DO NOT drive motor vehicles (car, bicycle, etc.),
  • DO NOT operate any potentially dangerous machines and devices,
  • DO NOT make important, legally binding decisions,
  • DO NOT consume alcohol or other intoxicants,
  • DO NOT remain without the care of an adult.

We recommend resting at home and following the dietary recommendations (initially liquid) and taking any painkillers.
